The further one goes, the less (he realizes he) one knows.” — Lao-Tzu
Today we took a 25 minute bus ride from Monaco to the village of Eze in France. Eze is a picturesque medieval village high up in the mountains. It only has about 15 year round inhabitants but its natural beauty attracts hordes of tourists. This is not surprising because from the upper part of the village there are spectacular views of the cliffs, mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. From the lower village one has to walk up to the upper part where there are some restaurants, a Church, a hotel and some small shops all within a fortress castle-like setting. This is what makes Eze truly magical! After taking in all of the incredible views above one can return to the lower village and visit Fragonard, one of the oldest and best makers of perfume in the world. This is what makes Eze truly fragrant!
